Winner & Finalists Announced

The Call

We believe that truly great images are not only visually compelling, they also carry with them stories Beyond the Frame. These are the images of ours that we keep looking back on, because their story imbues layers of meaning deeper than what initially meets the eye.

In this free to enter contest, we want to provide you with the opportunity to share not only an image special to you, but also the story beyond the frame that we don’t perceive.

Beyond the Frame is an international contest eligible for entry by any legal resident of any country*.

The Reward

Your work will be reviewed by an international panel of critically acclaimed judges. Together, they will select one winner to receive a brand new Fujifilm X100V, and ten finalists to receive Peak Design X Fujifilm Camera straps

All finalists and a number of honorable mentions will be highlighted and featured on a platform dedicated to Beyond the Frame stories at the conclusion of this contest.

Details of the Call

Submit one image and an accompanying story in written form. Submissions will be judged on the synergy between image and story.

The Image

Share with us an image significant to you. The image should be able to stand on its own, but also have a story associated which enhances its meaning.

Submission images should be only minimally edited in post production (no composites).

Submission Format:

  • JPEG file
  • 4000 pixels or less on the long side
  • Titled: “FirstName_LastName”

The Story

Share with us what's beyond the scene (a story that relates either to the subject matter of the photograph or to the image making process itself).

Your story should provide us with a new understanding or appreciation of the image that we wouldn't be able to gain just by viewing the image on its own.

Submission Format:

  • PDF file
  • 500 words or less, written in English
  • Titled: "FirstName_LastName"
